Maison et Objet Paris

This was Article’s first trip to Maison et Objet for the interiors exhibition which is held just outside Paris twice a year.

We were delighted to catch two discussions with some of our most favoured British designers. On Saturday we sat with the team at Studio Ilse and George Smith to hear about their design development for their fabulous new sofa and ottoman desgin – we adored the simplicity and homogeneity of the upholsted feet on both pieces. Sunday morning we were fortunate to catch the discussion hosted by Tom Dixon with the Rising Talents Award winners, Giles Miller Studio, Zuza Mengham. Studi Swine, Marcin Rusak, John Booth and Sebastian Cox. It was refreshing and inspiring to see so much British talent at the foreground of the show.

We’ve pulled together a small edit of some of our favourite pieces from the exhibition and also identified key trends that we think will be strong influencers for 2017 interiors.
