Battersea Power Station, London
Brindisa Tapas at Battersea Power Station caters for locals and visitors alike, and the atmosphere transcends from light morning brunches through to intimate evening dinners. The restaurant space has connectivity to the riverside with the Terraza area to the front bar zone; a convivial dining space that provides an “Al Fresco” style at the forefront of the restaurant. Materials and textures are authentic and provide a neutral yet warm palette with earthy terracotta floors and off white rough plaster walls. Informal dining booths flank the space and lead customers down into the heart of the dining room. Customers are enraptured with open kitchens that surround the dining area, providing great energy and genuine menu engagement. The design aesthetic is an eclectic mix with reference to traditional and yet a reverence for the clean simplicity of modernity, thus resulting in a fresh and contemporary language. Adjacent to the dining room is the “Chef’s Table”, enabling an unrivalled customer exploration of the menu. Once again, this space provides theatre and intrigue around the process of the artisanal food production that is so synonymous with the Brindisa Tapas Menu. The “Chef’s Table” area is a genuine and warm extension of Brindisa’s hospitality and has an overwhelming sense of a real “Cocina”, with produce and process displayed at every opportunity.
